Candace Owens is an American Conservative and founder of the BLEXIT foundation, the organisation dedicated to driving conservative principles into urban communities.
Raised in Stamford, Connecticut she graduated high school before pursuing an undergraduate degree in journalism at the University of Rhode Island, but left after her junior year.
In 2017, Owens became known in conservative circles before being hired as director of Urban engagement for Turning Point USA.
After receiving positive feedback from President Donald Trump in 2018, Candace Owens went on to start the “Blexit movement”, a social campaign to encourage African Americans to abandon the Democratic Party and register as Republicans.
The Conservative commentator has a new book out called “Blackout: How Black America Can Make Its Second Escape from the Democrat Plantation’, which addresses how liberal ideals harm African Americans and hinder their ability to live the American Dream.
In her second appearance on London Real, tune in as Candace discusses topics including upcoming parenthood and how pregnancy has influenced her views, her new book and the state of politics in the US.
